#1 It's not you, really, it's me!
No, honestly, it's me; I want something else. These kind of relationships are usually between high school sweethearts. It's really cute that you two are going to the same college together, but things won't necessarily have a happy ending. High school sweethearts are, usually, first loves. We admit it: it was fun while it lasted, but now we want something real. In other words, we graduated you guys.
#2 The Seat Filler
Just like the name suggests, the seat filler is someone who is in a relationship with you for a brief month or two. These relationships are destined to doom. Why? I'll tell you why: because it's only fun, and he's only there to help the time go faster. Again, it's not really him. He can be the cutest guy ever, but if you think of him as someone who will be replaced soon, then it's a sad, sad ending.
#3 The Safe Ball
Now, this reason is not our fault; it's because of you, MEN. You know that period of life when you buy us flowers, take us to romantic places, talk sweet and all that jazz? You do!? Good, then why did it stop? We still want romance, the cute nicknames, cuddling and the whole package! Guys, the moment you stop trying is the moment we become desperate. Strong women will end this charade and you'll be left wondering: What did I do wrong?
#4 The Safety Net
Okay, here's the ugly truth: Girls can be so insecure. Seriously, our insecurity can reach an unbelievable level. Whether we wonder if we're pretty enough, or if this dress makes us look fat, you have to be there for us, nod your head and go with the flow. We love compliments; they boost our confidence A LOT! Never forget to pay attention to details or little things; those little things are quite big for us.
#5 What About The Future?
Whether you like it or not, we don't want to spend the eternity with someone who doesn't think about the future. The first time you avoid talking about marriage, 5 year plans, babies, and other "grown up" things, our alarm turns on. Dear guys, we won't tolerate this behavior. We want stability and future. If you're not the guy to offer this then GTFO.
#6 Don't Be That Guy
Okay, occasionally a healthy amount of jealousy is fine; we love when you care about us. But the constant: "Hey girl, where you've been? What d'ya do?" is getting annoying. You have to find the perfect balance; show that you care, but don't smother us! Give us some space for crying out loud. This questioning leads to two things: #1 We'll think you don't trust us and #2 You'll look like a clingy, annoying person.
