Do you ever wake up in the morning and it just feels like you have been running all night long in your sleep? You get up, and the first thing you see in the mirror, a few new pimples on your face. Could the day go any more wrong? Well, don’t be surprised, taking care of acne is pretty easy; all you have to do is follow these 5 tips if you want to have an acne free skin and get that glowing look on your face. Although a pimple might not be such a big problem, sometimes it indicates that you are having some changes in your health, so if your symptoms also include acne on some parts of your face that won’t go away then maybe it is time to go and check with a doctor.

Avoid makeup for a while

Even though for some of us, makeup is a routine and something we just can’t consider leaving the house without, you still need to consider avoiding the usage of makeup for a while if you want to have an acne free skin. It is known that foundation will only clog your pores more and will gather more bacteria around your pimples, which is why a few days without some makeup on could be better. If you have a pimple in the lips area you should also consider avoiding lipsticks too. Remember that you are beautiful on your own!

Stop popping your pimples

This is the rule that each one of us should obey. Since pimples are full of bacteria, popping pimples means unleashing the bacteria to clog your other pores which mean giving them a new home in your face. When you pop a pimple it is most likely that a pimple itself and the area around a pimple will be inflamed therefore causing redness, swelling of that particular area and pain. So if you want your acne to disappear from your face, that means you need to stop popping them, if you want to have a clean skin.

Change your diet

It is known that a lot of foods are a trigger for acne. You may need to cut down on some of these foods for a couple of days till your face gets free of acne. Some of the foods that you should ignore completely are sugary drinks, fast food, milk. Sugar and fats are known to be the biggest triggers by stimulating the pimple hormones to grow. Milk too is known for causing pimples from time to time since it stimulates some of the male hormones. So try eating more fruits and vegetables and make some changes in your diet if you want to have a glowing skin.

Know when to wash your face

Even if your pimple is bothering you a lot, DO NOT wash your face more than twice a day. By washing your face more than twice you will remove all the good oils that will leave your face extra dry, which means that your face will have to produce a lot of more oil that will only leave you with a ton of pimples in the end. So be careful on how much you wash your face during the day, and also make sure after washing your face to use the right moisturiser.

Let stress aside

We don’t know yet why stress is linked to your pimples directly, but having a lot of stress means that pimples are likely to show up on your face. So start removing all the stress from your life. Try walking, meditating or yoga. Remember, whatever makes you feel better, it will also be a huge helping factor for your skin.
