Verbally, losing weight involves eating less, exercising more and taking care of the food habits. While, practically, the amount of effort that goes into fighting craving for ice cream and pushing yourself to go to the gym is simply overwhelming, and we are not even talking about giving up on your favorite chocolates yet. Nevertheless, the results of all these efforts are always a treat, and this is why all of us put in so much hard work into it. However, there are a few things that we forget or overlook or simply develop as a misconception while on our journey to weight loss. These things either retard our pace of development or just negate the effects of exercises. Either way, it is harmful and helpless; and thus, should be avoided. Here we are sharing top 5 such things that we do unknowingly, that slow us down:
Too much protein
Time and again we have been told that protein is the building blocks of the body. If you want to get thin, give up on fat and start a protein rich diet. But rarely are we told about the amount of protein that we should be consuming. It is important to consider the intake of protein because when taken in excess, proteins do the same to our body, as done by the huge amount of sugar and confectionary. If you are still guessing, let me make it clearer – uncontrolled amount of protein will eventually make you fat. Talk to your dietician or nutritionist and depending upon your lifestyle and nature of work, ask the limit of protein that you should be consuming.
