5 Foods you should not include in your breakfast meal


You will always find people telling you about things that you should include in your breakfast but what nobody tells are the foods that you should never include in your breakfast.

Cereals

You will be surprised to know this, but it’s a fact that cereals are made up of grains such as wheat, corn and oats, and grains are not good to eat, at any time of the day. Do you know that most grains contain gluten that can be addictive, and can make you crave for food? The fact is it’s all about gluteomorphins that activate the receptors in your brain, just like the drugs do. Moreover, cereals contain added sugar and some of the cereal are coated more with sugar making it a sugar filled candy.

Processed Meats

As per the American Institute for Cancer Research, almost every processed meat likes ham, bacon, salami, sausage, and polony contains nitrates which are the main cause of colorectal cancer. Although it is the quickest option in the morning to have processed foods but don’t forget to check the labels to confirm that these meats do not contain nitrates. Strictly say NO to those which contain nitrates!

Breakfast Bars

There are be days in your busy work life schedule when you may either eat your breakfast in a hurry or skip it altogether. In such scenarios, don’t shake your body weight by eating a breakfast bar unless and until you have made them yourself at home. The commercial breakfast bars contain high levels of sugar. If you are having either a granola or breakfast bar then you are obviously not on a healthy diet. So instead, eat sugar-free peanut butter sandwiches in the morning.

Frozen Breakfast Sandwiches

These boxed frozen sandwiches contain lots of preservatives, sodium, and various unhealthy fats. The best clean and yummy option would be an egg and cheese sandwich if you make it yourself. In fact, the shiny breakfast sandwiches bought from the corner vendor or a café are not the good option. And they are generally good enough to be consumed by two people as they are overstuffed with lots of cheese and processed meats like bacon or salami. Instead, go for a simple and healthy veggie crawl either on a piece of whole-wheat toast or a whole-wheat tortilla. Stay healthy!

Orange Juice

This is quite shocking but you should not drink any of the fruit juice in the morning because of the sugar content. No harsh feelings! Even if it is freshly prepared, the natural sugar content can be immense. You must need energy in the morning and not a “sugar bang” which causes an increase in the blood sugar level too. You should know the fact that if you squeeze a fruit then, it gets oxidised causing fructose to be converted into glucose which finally increases the sugar level. Instead, have a glass of water and eat an orange in the morning. So, finally, if you want to stay healthy and be in shape then cut the sugar out of your diet completely.
